Syllabus, Pedagogy and teaching Schedule
The syllabus is designed as per the suggestions given by ECCE and NCERT, Govt. of India in its new education policy for the pre primary level of education and skill building. All the above skill components of are taken into account and progressively put into syllabus for Play group (2-3 years), Nursery (3-4 years), LKG (4-5 years) and UKG (5-6 years).
Pedagogy includes activity based teaching methods with ample number of activities designed for each segment of skill development. The Pedagogy also includes a very structured SKILL ASSESSMENT of the child at each stage of skill building process.
The skill assessment is appropriately designed for children in the age group of 2-6 years through observation and participatory method. The current syllabus has the following skill assessment planned;
- Initial skill assessment and report (in the beginning of the class to ensure that the child’s developmental milestone is appropriate and complete). If there is deficiency, it is well taken care by the teachers
- Monthly skill assessment and Report (it happens every month once the 4 weeks teaching schedule is completed). This is part of the documentary system and parents are updated every month and also get the complete understanding of skill achievements and deficiencies, if any about their kid.
- Final (Annual) skill assessment and Report (if happens at the end of the programme). Parents get a complete information the 4 stage level of skill evaluation which is part of the documented assessment.
The teaching is designed for managing weekly teaching plans by taking all the above into account and also accessible to parents. This schedule links to all the portions in the syllabus book, activity sheets, additional activities and also supports the teaching technique.
